First Baptist Church Welcomes College Students

As the closest church “neighbor” to Marietta College, First Baptist Church invites college students to attend our Sunday worship service at 9:30 a.m. and then to meet with one of our adult Sunday School classes at 10:45 a.m.  Students are also welcome to share in the Wednesday night Bible study from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

 

Families within the church are always ready to “adopt” college students who become part of our congregation. “Adoption” brings students into a “family away from home” and allows the congregation to get to know our college neighbors better.

 

College students are also encouraged to sing in the choir or volunteer to play the piano or another instrument as part of the worship service. Students are also encouraged to help with Children’s or Youth programs. Students who are interested can call the church office at (740) 373-1273 or tell the pastor or a church member after the morning worship service.
